A worked example

Option A: $42 for one 5 mg vial. Option B: $80 for one 10 mg vial.

A: 42 ÷ 5 = $8.40/mg

B: 80 ÷ 10 = $8.00/mg — Option B is the better value

Common questions

Why compare on cost per mg?

It strips out vial strength and pack count, so a 5 mg vial and a 10 mg vial compare on the same footing.

Is a bigger vial always cheaper per mg?

Often, but not always — which is exactly why it's worth checking rather than assuming.

How do I compare research peptide prices between sellers?

Put each seller's price, mg per vial and vial count into an option here and compare cost per mg. Then check what stands behind the mg: a seller with a batch-linked certificate of analysis from an independent lab has documented the amount; a seller without one has only claimed it. If the COA shows purity below 100%, the purity-adjusted calculator gives the effective mg to use.

Can I compare two different peptides?

The math works, but a price comparison only makes sense between the same compound. Cost per mg of two different peptides isn't a like-for-like value judgment.
